We are Exilic IMPRINTS

We publish

Scholarship, Non-Fiction, Fiction, Poetry, Printable Art, Photography

We publish works deserving to be published without concern for their commercial attractiveness. The marketplace is not a meaningful barometer of a work’s value. Thinking people are.

Printable Art

These are artworks that can be replicated through any number of media, meaning anything from lithography to inkjet replication.

Photography

Unlike many purveyors of photography, we do not create artificial scarcity by limiting prints. Instead, we want our prints to be affordable for as many people as possible to enjoy

Poetry

Georges Braque said, “Reality only reveals itself when it is illuminated by a ray of poetry.” We are especially interested in hybrid uses of poetry, such as ekphrastic or illustrated works.

Scholarship

Sadly, university presses in the United States have largely abandoned their original purpose, which was to publish scholarship that needed to be available, regardless of its commercial value. We endeavor to bring works to the reader regardless of the potential for commercial success. Often we do this by helping scholars secure grants relevant to a field of study.

Fiction

We are particularly interested in works that we consider significant literary achievements. Sometimes these works don’t fit into the standard commercial rubrics. We are especially open to publishing the first significant work of an author–young or old.

Non-Fiction

We will consider a broad range of non-fiction works, including biography, memoir, and scholarship meant for a general audience.
